1. Assumption of Responsibility & Liability Waiver
Child Supervision: Parents or guardians remain fully responsible for supervising the children in their care at all times while on-site or using library equipment.
Toy Safety and Usage: The borrower assumes complete responsibility for any injury or property damage caused in whole or in part by the use, misuse, or malfunction of borrowed toys.
Release of Liability: The signatory releases the toy library, its staff, and volunteers from any claims, demands, or liability for injuries sustained on or off the premises.
2. Borrowing & Equipment Conditions
Property Ownership: All borrowed toys remain the property of the toy library at all times.
Inspection & Maintenance: Members agree to inspect toys upon checkout, clean them appropriately before return, and report any damaged, broken, or missing parts immediately
Replacement Costs: Borrowers may be charged a replacement or repair fee for lost pieces, broken items, or heavily damaged toys.
3. Safety Gear (For Ride-ons or Active Play)
Protective Equipment: For items like bicycles, scooters, or ride-on toys, the library does not typically provide safety gear (like helmets). The user/guardian acknowledges that supplying and ensuring the use of proper safety gear is their sole responsibility.
